Ethical Trading Policy

DBD Paving follow an Ethical Trading Policy where all imported natural paving products are ethically sourced, and adhere to the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code. 

ETI is a ground-breaking alliance of companies, trade unions and voluntary organisations, which work in partnership to improve the lives of workers across the world.

Ethical Trade means that retailers, brands and their suppliers, take responsibility for improving the working conditions of the people who make and produce the products they sell. Companies with a commitment to Ethical Trade adopt a code of labour practice, which they expect all their suppliers to work towards. Such codes address issues such as wages, hours of work, health and safety, and the right to join free trade unions.

• Employment is freely chosen
• Working conditions are safe and hygienic
• Child labour shall not be used
• Living wages are paid
• No discrimination is  practiced
• Working hours are not excessive
• No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed
• Regular employment is provided
• Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected.
