Figures from the Office of Fair Trading confirm that 111,000 more complaints were received about poor Home Improvement Work last year.
A recent survey conducted found that over 64% of all driveways installed failed within the first year! The most common complaint was that little or no action was taken to rectify the problems. In addition, far too many driveway installations are not complying with the new planning regulations imposed by the government. You should be aware that as per the Government Environmental Agency Website, it is the home owner’s responsibility to comply with all the new regulations, as all rectification work will be at the home owner’s expense, as there is no duty of care to the contractor.
